"Friends of Wasioja" (501 c 3 organization) is a group of enthusiastic citizens of SE Minnesota. Their goal is promote history, save historical sites and become a vital part of the Community. Wasioja Civil War Days will be sponsored by the "Friends". Wasioja Civil War Days will celebrate the Sesquicentennial of the Civil War with a full blown event.

Promote Dodge County and Friends of Wasioja events, activities and educational components.

Provide educational and historical events that represent the 1860’s era.

Create a fundraising and endowment plan to preserve buildings and landscape in the Wasioja area.

Develop a series of programs before and during Wasioja Civil War Days that will enhance awareness of Dodge County and Wasioja's involvement in the Civil War.

Create a sense of community pride through beautification, landscape improvement and neighborhood socialization.
