Historic Wasioja Seminary Grounds Restoration Project

Volunteers spent two weekends cutting down, and removing trees with horses at the Seminary grounds in Wasioja in the spring of 2009.   These trees and several others were dead or dying and had to be removed.  This is the only county park in Dodge County. Over 100 years ago, two Officer Tree Rings of 7 trees each were planted on both sides of the driveway in honor of the Dodge County boys who served in the Civil War.  New trees have since been replanted.  A memorial has been erected and placed in the park honoring the civil war soldiers, and pavers with soldiers names are being sold
